Located in the historic city of Kirkwood, Missouri (established in 1853 as a St. Louis suburb), the Kings Gate Apartments complex is a small apartment community of twelve separate buildings, most of which are 8-family units. It is perfectly situated on two private streets on five acres of professionally-landscaped green space.

Developed in 2000, St. Louis' Lindbergh Properties (a 29-time recipient of the Home Builder Association's highest honor, the Homer Award) achieved success again in designing and building this entirely new neighborhood from scratch.

The architectural design blends the newest construction techniques (energy conservation, vaulted ceilings, modern floor plans, full-size washer / dryer and ample closet space) together with the "old" home look one would expect to find in Kirkwood: a traditional appearance with chimneys (every apartment has its own wood-burning fireplace), interesting architectural details, separate front and back doors to every apartment, and beautiful landscaping with lots of trees.
